Hi friends! My name is Ivy Hemesath, and I am from West Des Moines, Iowa. The name, IvyLu, comes from my dad’s nickname for me, Lulu. I am currently a student in the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University. I decided to launch IvyLu out of a passion for entrepreneurship and crafting.

I have loved crafting since I was a little kid; I used to beg my mom to let me open an Etsy shop so that I could sell the things I made. When I was 16, I opened an Etsy shop with my good friend, Karissa Quass, called Kiki’s Customs Co. What started as a fun thing to do during the pandemic became much bigger than a hobby. Our shop took off with over 1,000 sales within the first year, and eventually, it became a bestseller on Etsy. This is when I found my passion for entrepreneurship and custom creations.
